Terms of Service

Welcome to Cipher. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cipher app and website at cipherapp.cc (the "Service"), operated by Cipher ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Cipher is

Cipher provides personalized numerology and Chinese astrology content, generated with the help of artificial intelligence, based on information you provide such as your name and birth date. The Service is intended for personal insight, reflection, and entertainment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service or to purchase a subscription. By using Cipher you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account, created via email or a third-party sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs under it. Please give us accurate information and keep it current.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

• Cipher offers free content and paid subscription tiers. Current prices and what each tier includes are shown in the app.
• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
• Any free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Free trials are limited to one per customer.
• You can cancel at any time through the customer portal or by contacting us. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
• We may change prices or tier contents. If we change the price of an active subscription, we will give you reasonable notice, and the change will apply from your next billing cycle.

5. Fair use of AI features

Paid tiers include generous but finite allowances for AI-generated readings and chat, described in the app. These limits exist to keep the Service sustainable. We may apply reasonable rate limits and may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to bypass usage limits, or use automated means to extract content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for anything unlawful; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; resell or redistribute Cipher's content as your own product; or use the Service to harass or harm others.

7. AI-generated content

Readings and chat responses are produced by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. Content is provided "as is." You are responsible for how you interpret and act on it. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, prediction, or result.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service. Content generated for you is yours to use for personal purposes.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where reasonable. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
